Mexico Mission trip - Homebuilding 2009 Where: Puerto Penasco, Mexico (aka Rocky Point) 4 hour drive

What will we accomplish -build a home for a deserving family in 2.5 days -change a family's life, demonstrate God's love and mercy -be part of changing a community helping break the poverty cycle (family's build with us and recipient family builds future homes) -bond together, adventure and have some beach fun!

Who can go? anyone! 7+years old welcome to help build

INVITE friends, family, neighbours, anyone whether they go to any church or not to church at all is welcome to participate!

WE NEED 20 people minimum to build one home in 2.5 days we can use up to 25-30 on one home, can build a 'doublewide' home for larger family

Cost: $375 per person **you can fundraise for this (we'll train you) & we have scholarships available so everyone can go kids 11 and under are free

http://travel.state.gov/passport/

ALL ADULTS traveling by land and sea outside of the United States are required to present a passport to enter or re-enter the United States. Children under age 16 will be able to continue crossing land and sea borders using only a U.S. birth certificate (or other form of U.S. citizenship such as a naturalization certificate.). The original birth certificate or a copy may be used.

Transportation we'll carpool, and likely rent one large van for those who don't want to drive -every vehicle needs Mexico auto insurance (~$70/weekend/vehicle)

Preparation/Training - we'll meet 3 times to prepare/ train , with a focus on heart/spiritual preparation Sunday

if you have construction experience, please let me know

Safety -the road quality is good, lots of Americans travel back and forth every day, and many live in Rocky Point, full or part time -we won't spend any time in the border town -the violence being reported in Mexico has been fighting drug cartels and has very little effect on Rocky Point (not a drug route)

Phone access -bring a calling card -cell phone coverage: depends on your carrier, AT&T coverage is very good if you pay the International roaming
